India Vs West Indies 3rd ODI - An opportunity for India to win the series today

Ind Vs WI Cricket Live

A golden opportunity for the unbeatable Indian team on this tour to clinch the series here. Leading 2-0 in a 5 match series gives India an upper hand. Just one more win and the series is bagged by India. This scenario makes today's match a vital one for the West Indies. They have to bounce back to showcase some kind of resistance against a second string Indian team.

West Indies improved from their 214 in first ODI to 240 in the second ODI. But both the targets were successfully chased by India without any major issue. And above all Indian runs didn't come from one or two contributors. These runs came equally from all the top order batsmen. This is a positive sign for Indian team.

Chris Gayle still remains unconsidered for the series. Meanwhile the board has allowed Dwayne Bravo to take a break. Ravi Rampaul was impressive with his bowling but he will be rested to sneak in Kemar Roach. Indian bowling deparment has clicked on time with Munaf Patel, Harbhajan, Praveen Kumar and company.

Overall a nice match on hands where the visitors will play to seal the series and the home team will strive harder to stay live in the series.

India takes on West Indies in 1st ODI

India Vs West Indies Live - 1st ODI

Showtime! India begins their first ODI series as World Champions today. That is an added responsibility now to continue being the World Champs by winning every series they play on. Dominance in ODI cricket for next few years will prove the worth. Although the current team will miss the services of Sachin, Dhoni, Sehwag, Gambhir, Zaheer and Yuvraj; but the youngsters are good enough to clinch wins in West Indies.

1st T20 showcased the failure of top order but at the same time proved that India has a strong bench strength. Badrinath in particular was good with his bat. India has to better their performance today if they have to win. The reason being simple - Comeback of Pollard, Bravo and Sarwan in the host team.

Pollard and Bravo can contribute with both bat and ball. West Indies are always wary of slow bowling but Sarwan solves that problem to an extent. India may replace Ashwin with Ishant Sharma if the track for today is bouncy rather than low and slow.

With the likes of Raina, Badrinath, Kohli, Harbhajan, Sharma; India looks favourites but West Indies can't be written off on their home ground with equally matched and talented youngsters in their team.
