The stage is set for the final day of this Indian tour to West Indies. Day 5 thankfully has the sun shining bright and seems even God is interested to enjoy this interesting match. Day 4 has brought in many interesting probabilities. The fight back of Edwards and Chanderpaul have opened the door of possibilities for West Indies. Although they begin day 5 with a small lead and only 4 wickets in hand, but this pitch could be a real tester for Indian batsmen also.

Way things have begun on Day 5, it seems the battler Chanderpaul is in no mood to give up. If they are eyeing a lead of 150, even that could prove hard for India. Because West Indies bowlers also enjoy the pitch conditions of Windsor Park.

Harbhajan and company should strike hard to finish off West Indies innings at the earliest. Keeping in mind that this is day 5, India won't be thinking of chasing a target more than 175 in two sessions. So restricting the home team below that should be their first target.

What does the Windsor Park track expect from Indian team? A change in batting line up or bowling line up? Indian batting has not performed as expected. Murali Vijay and Mukund form the opening pair but they have failed miserably to cope with the bounce and hence resulted in bad starts to the innings. In the middle order, Dhoni and Kohli need to click in this match. Badrinath may get a chance to play in this match replacing Vijay. In terms of bowling, Mithun can be replaced by Mishra. But as the Dominica track has a lot of bounce in it, Mishra can be overlooked for Munaf as he looks fit for this match.


Parthiv Patel is also a good option who can replace Mukund. Patel was impressive with his stroke play in ODI series. Harbhajan could manage just 5 wickets so far and he would love to end the series on a high note. Two more wickets and he would enter the 400 test wicket club. 


A win here would lead India to a first time ever ODI and Test series win in West Indies. This would be another feather in Dhoni's hat. So certainly India would love to dominate the home team right from the start. Keeping in mind the rain interruptions, a positive approach is much needed to cover the time that is lost due to rain.

Mercy on us Rain Gods! Spare a cricket match again. This would be request of cricket fans today. They all need to have some cricketing fun. Day 2 brought disappointment in terms of amount of cricket played. Hardly 25 overs!

Team that could make the most out of it was India. So they continued having an upper hand. Sarwan and Bishoo struggled against Indian bowling. Edges were evident. Ultimately they gave up to Ishant Sharma. Praveen Kumar was unplayable but he didn't get any wicket.

Samuels and Chanderpaul spent a lot of time on pitch which helped their cause. They made it sure that they stick to the crease and don't lose any further wickets. They added very important 41 runs to the score. West Indies embarks on Day 3 with a deficit of 103 runs.
