CSK beats Warriors to lift the Champions League T20 2010

Well Well Well it all comes to an end on a good note! Chennai Super Kings prove their supremacy in T20 cricket by winning the Champions League T20 2010. Not only have they won the trophy but they have purely dominated in all the departments. Ashwin wins the golden ball. Murali Vijay wins the golden bat and MS Dhoni lifts the trophy.

Batting first Warriors could just managed 128 with Jacobs again batting well for his 34 off 21 balls. Muralitharan took 3 wickets while Ashwin managed to take 2 wickets and win the Golden Ball (highest wicket taker in this CLT20).

In reply, CSK never looked to be losing as they comprehensively outsmarted Warriors by scoring 132 for 2 in 19 overs. Hussey scored an unbeaten 51 while Murali Vijay scored a blistering 58 to win Golden Bat (highest run scored in this CLT20).

This is the last time the CSK players are playng together as IPL next year will have new auctions and teams will have new players. CSK has made the most in last 3 years: 3 times reached semis of IPL and won the IPL once. Featured in Champions league once and won it in style! Another feather in the cap of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Chennai Super Kings one of the most consistent and dominating team in this CLT20 league has qualified for the final after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore last night. Suresh Raina's brilliant 94 took CSK home beating RCB by 52 runs.

Tonight two strong teams play each other for a place in the finals against CSK. The teams are Redbacks and Warriors. 

Redbacks are in great form with Klinger anchoring the top order very well. They would be hoping the comeback of Shaun Tait who couldn't play against Guyana in their last round robin match. Tonight's clash includes another IPL team striving to take a berth in the semis viz. Chennai Super Kings. They will take on the Warriors who have not lost any match in this year's league. This is the beauty of this year's CLT20 league that a team like Warriors who have won their 3 out of 3 matches are still uncertain about their semis berth. Because a heavy loss today for them can close their gates to the semis. The equations imply that if they lose very badly to CSK, only then they will be knocked out. A defeat by a very low margin can still take them to the semi finals with CSK.

On the other hand if CSK can't manage a win today then Warriors will qualify to the semi final with Victoria. South African fans will be praying hard for Warriors triumph today as their defeat today can see semi finals being played without any South African teams. Davey Jacobs who is in great form is not much worried about the proceedings.
