Day 3 - India Vs New Zealand Live Scores 2nd Test

India Vs New Zealand Live Streaming 2nd Test

Just as we speculated yesterday, Indian bowlers clicked on time on day 2 and clinched the New Zealand wickets quickly to wrap up their innings at 350 with Zaheer and Harbhajan ending up having impressive bowling figures of 4-69 and 4-76 respectively.

Following the bowlers the Indian openers Sehwag and Gambhir also performed up to the mark giving India a very good start. Sehwag as usual tried to hit a ball to the boundary when he was on 96, when he was bowled by Vettori. But no one can stop Sehwag from playing like that, isn't it and no one should actually. Because that is his natural game and players like him are the main reason because of which the test cricket is producing so much of result oriented matches. Gambhir scored 54.

Day 3 will begin with two greats entering into the ground viz Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. India will resume the play from 178 for 2. Probably a good stand between these two or the following strong batting line up will take India to a commanding position from where they can sight a victory.

Stay tuned for the live scores and updates of India Vs New Zealand 2nd Test.

Day 2 India Vs Australia Live Scores - 2nd Test

India Vs Australia Live Streaming Scores

Update - Australia all out for 478
India 128 for 2
Sachin completes 14,000 runs in Test Cricket

Day 2 will bring in North and Paine to bat in as Indian bowlers will push hard to clean the tail of Australia as soon as possible.

The day 1 of India Australia 2nd Test followed the script of 1st Test where all 5 days observed an evenly fought battle. India again lost the toss and Australia, as usual, elected to bat first. In absence of Gambhir, Laxman and Ishant players like Murali Vijay, Pujara and Sreeshant got a chance to prove their potential. Early morning swing didn't do much for Indian bowlers.
Australia ended day 1 with a score of 285/5 with North not out on 43. Watson scored 57, Katich 43 and Ponting 77. For India, Harbhajan claimed 2 wickets, while Zaheer, Raina and Ojha got one wicket each.

Let us hope we can again watch a competitive cricket on day 2. If India can clinch few early wickets and wrap up Australia for 350, then India would find themselves in the driver's seat. We may also enjoy few crackers from Sehwag, Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara. Stay online for enthralling cricket action of India Vs Australia test match.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Lions Live Cricket Scores

The Champions League 2010 has entered into a stage where the teams are playing virtual quarter finals. Net Run Rate is probably out of picture because the team that wins in today's match between Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Lions will enter the Semi Final. In this group South Australia has already made it to the semi final.

Similarly in the other group, Victoria has 3 wins out of their 4 matches. Chennai Super Kings will take on the Warriors tomorrow who are unbeaten in the 3 matches they have played so far. If Chennai Super Kings beat Warriors with a narrow margin, then they will qualify to the semi finals along with the Warriors. If Warriors are beaten by a very big margin; probably Victoria will qualify to the semis with Chennai Super Kings. The equation is simple if Chennai loses against Warriors tomorrow. The two teams entering semis then would be Warriors and Victoria.

Following is the current standings:

Royal Challengers Bangalore will have a tough fight against Lions who have been quite dominating in this league. Cricket can't be more exciting than this. Catch the action live with useful links:

India Vs Srilanka 2nd test ends in a draw

Source: Cricket Nirvana

Two double centuries and 3 tons in a match are delight to watch but cricket lovers would prefer watching a match which ends in a result other than a draw, irrespective of who wins the match. Colombo run fest ends in a draw and India has somehow managed to keep their number one position in the ICC ratings intact.

This match saw a run fest of 1478 runs in 5 days and nightmare pitch for the bowlers. India faced a mammoth total of 642 by Lankans and they managed to score 707 in reply. Srilanka in reply on 5th day scored 129 for 3 wickets. Srilankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara was awarded man of the match for his brilliant double century in the 1st innings.

India Vs Srilanka 5th ODI abandoned due to poor pitch conditions: India wins the series 3-1

The fifth and final ODI between India and Sri Lanka played at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi was abandoned due to poor pitch conditions with the visitors struggling at 83 for five after 23.3 overs. India hence took the five-ODI series 3-1.

The nasty, uneven bounce and cracks on the track made life difficult for the Lankan batsmen. The ball often took off after hitting the cracks and clots of grass on the wicket, giving body blows to the batsmen. Tillakaratne Dilshan suffered a painful blow on his elbow, Jayasuriya got hit on the glove a couple of times and Thilina Kandamby was bewildered with the bounce that varied from ankle-length to two feet above his head in a single over by Sudeep Tyagi.

Apart from the Kotla blemish, the series was an absolute cracker and ultimate entertainer. Batsmen from both sides stole the show and such was the dominance of the willow that the series produced an unprecedented 2,542 runs in the four completed matches with a staggering 49.84 runs per-wicket.

Despite ending on the losing side, Tillakaratne Dilshan was the top-scorer of the series with a mammoth 353 runs at an astounding average of 70.60. Sachin Tendulkar top scored for India with 216 runs, closely followed by the Delhi duo of Sehwag and Gambhir. In a series where there was not much for the bowlers to cheer about, Zaheer Khan finished as the highest wicket-taker with seven.

India Srilanka 2nd T20: India beats Srilanka by 6 wickets

India completed a comprehensive 6-wicket win in the second and final T20 to level the 2-match series 1-1. It was the local lad and birthday boy Yuvraj Singh who came to the party both with the bat as well as with the ball taking India home safely.

Chasing 207, India ended with 211/4 in 19.1 overs making it the highest successful run-chase by any team in the T20I matches. The openers played some risky stuff early on but still got India off to a good start. Sehwag played his part pretty well with a stunning innings of 64 off just 36 balls. Skipper Dhoni played a crucial knock of 46 in the middle but alongside it was the birthday boy Yuvraj Singh who gave all his fans a big treat with a match winning performance. He hit an incredible 60 runs off just 25 ball including 3 fours and 5 huge sixes. Sri Lanka would feel that their sloppy fielding and dropped catches would have cost them the match.

It was a high-scoring thriller in which more than 400 runs were scored but the home crowd would be quite pleased that India ended on the winning side. There was no doubt for the Man of the Match award, it's Yuvraj Singh for his all round show in the match. 3 wickets and an unbeaten 60 off 25 balls.

Both the sides will next meet for the 5 ODI series starting from the 15th of this month.

India Srilanka T20 Schedule

With the conclusion of the Test Series and India winning it by 2-0; now its time for the shortest version of the game. India play Srilanka in two T20 encounters.

Out of the last nine T20 matches, India has just managed to win three. Still they are the hot favourites simply because of their dominating performance in the Test Series. Whereas Sri Lankans are ready for a revenge.

Australia Vs West Indies: 2nd test ends in a draw!

Australia Vs West Indies
Chris Gayle’s dream of scoring a Test century against Australia did come true but not the one to beat the Kangaroos in their own backyard, as the hosts managed to salvage a comfortable draw in Adelaide. But Gayle’s plucky, undefeated knock of 165 did earn him the player of the match award.

Australia would have hardly fancied their chances of chasing 330 on the final day on the bouncy Adelaide track but West Indies failed to capitalise on the golden opportunity created for them by Gayle’s century in the second innings and Dwayne Bravo’s in the first. As a result, Australia survived at 212 for five.

West Indies put up a performance that was several notches higher than their abysmal show in the first Test. The foundation of the inspired performance was laid by Dwayne Bravo’s fine 104 in the first innings and a solid knock of 92 from the bat of Brendon Nash. West Indies hence, reached a competitive total of 451 in the first essay. Johnson, who took three wickets in the first innings, finished the match with eight wickets.
